Can Hypothyroidism Cause Miscarriage?

hi,
recently i was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. Im havng delayed periods from 3 years. I got oregnant once but miscarried. Is it due to the thyroid problem?
But only recenlty i was diagnosed with hypothyrpoid aftr i had so many symptoms like fatigue,depression and weight gain.

Good day.
Yes, thyroid problems can cause miscarriage if not properly controlled. Even before you develop hypothyroidism, anti TPO antibody levels can rise and that has been shown to be associated with abortions. It is importnat to keep your TSH below 2.5 before planning next pregancy and during first three months of pregnancy. After that, next 6 months, keep less than 3. Once you become pregnant, dose will have to be elevated. Please meet an endocrinologist
