Can I Get Ear Problem If I Use Head Phone 6-8 Hours Daily ?
I am 40 years old 5’6” and 164 lbs 2 years ago I developed fullness in my ear I went to the doctor and my ear was washed out and it seemed better for about 2 days. Let me add at the time we were allowed to listen to music with head phones at work I typically had mine on from 6-8 hours a day. I then developed a severe ear infection I went back to the doctor who put me on antibiotics and told me it may be a cracked tooth he saw. I was then sent to the dentist who stated the tooth was pushing up into my gum and he extracted it and stated the roots had pushed up to the sinus membrane. He also put me on antibiotics. About a year ago I felt as though I was developing a sinus infection/cold and went back to the doctor who put me on another round of antibiotics called ciprofloxacin. Shortly after the dentist I developed Ringing/fullness in my ears which has been going on for 2 years now. Some days are worse than others and I have found that cleaning out my ears with a wax remover offers a little relief but only for a few days. Typically when I wash out my ears I get large flakes that come out and then the fullness goes away. I have never had allergies until we moved here. I get a stuffy nose and scratchy throat especially when it is windy. About 2 months ago I got a sharp pain in my right ear which lasted just a few seconds and have not had the sensation of fullness since then in that ear nor have I felt a need to clean it out. Other then this ongoing ringing and fullness I feel fine. I live in the very dry and dusty region of New Mexico. Our typical day is windy with lots of dust in the air. Also someone motioned Candida overgrowth is this a possibility since no one seems to have an answer for what is causing the ringing and fullness?
Welcome to Healthcare Magic It is quite possible it is a fungal infection like Candida as it presents with think flakes, fullness in the ear and can cause ringing sensation. You need to get it cleaned out by the ENT Surgeon an also need a course of Anti-fungal treatment. Keep your ear clean, avoid exposure to dust. Get tested for Diabetes as well.
Hi,
Thanks for query,
From your long history I concluded that ,
1,Impacted ear wax.
2,Fungal infection in the ear(candidia).
3,CSOM (chronic sub acute otitis media)
4,allergic infection.
Consult ENT sp. and discuss about this.with cleaning and removing impacted wax will cure your problem.
Ok and take care.
