Can I Get Pregnant Inspite Of Protected Sex?

I am a 17 years old girl and i had protected sex by using condom on the 21st of october. I was expecting my period to come exactly one month after that but i'm now 6 days late. My stomach looks a little bloated and i'm getting paranoid wondering if i'm pregnant. Could the stress of me being pregnant makes my period come late or be missed? Please help.

OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine 's  Response
Hi,

Yes. Stress can alter your period. It can be missed or can come late. Even with protected sex, pregnancy can come, so I would advise you a pregnancy test for confirmation after 1 week. Start taking pantoprazole tablet for bloated abdomen.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
