Can I Give Myteka To My Son Again For Chest Infection?

my son is a cp child and 17 years old he had espiratory namonia last month now he has short breating and taking oxygen at home last month dr gave him Myteka , now can i give him again because he has again chest infection and difficulty to breath by himself thanks

Your query is about myteka.This is medicine containing Montelukast which is of class LT antagonist used for the treatment of respiratory allergic disorders like asthma or chronic cough etc.As you said there are features you seems like chest infection then this tablet may not suffice.An additional antibiotic may be needed to resolve infection.So my suggestion is to have complete examination at respiratory physician to know correct diagnosis ant subsequent treatment.Hope this is helpful.
