Can I Reduce My Cholesterol Level Without Medicine ?
I have a cholesteol level 0f 249. HDL is 197, LDL is 179. Can I reduce my numbers with lifestyle changes and not take medication? I also had eaten a bit before the blood test . I am 54 and female. My doctor prescribed Zetia, but I want to see if I can do this without medication.

Morning 6 o clock wake up...drink 3 spoon of triphala juice mixed in half glass of water..and go for 1/2 an hour morning water..
Breakfast...very light like clear soup..
afternoon---lunch--2-3 chapaties with cooked vegetables, salad also..
evening one glass of juice...
night light dinner and sleep before 10 o clock..
This is diet chart for u...some changes are also required..but these changes are only after consultation with family doc...
Actually these cholestrol level is related with rakta dhatu what we say raktagat sukshma pachan vikruti in ayurveda.The treatment for liver,spleen,kidneies,intestines is also recomanded.Take the deccoction of ginger-mamjistha- triphala-pimpali-yasthi-amla with 2 spoon ghi and 1 spoon honey with empty stomach in morning,before lunch, after dinner at night.The mental status is also important.Do regular surya-namaskaram and dhyna.Abdominal pind sweda is also helpful for such patients.A complete nadi chikitsa is required,for further pin point treatment and medicine if any.Follow din charya and rutu charya.
