Can I Use Treadmill Inspite Of Having Knee Replacement?
I have had 2 knee replacements, one 12 yrs ago, and the other about 5 yrs ago. I have heard different opinions of others that have had replacements and they say you should not use a treadmill. I have just joined a fitness program and am wondering if I can use the treadmill there. I don t remember my Dr. telling me about not using a treadmill. Last summer I walked about 1-2 miles per day and nothing affected my knees
Waking on plain surface is good after tkr.I will suggest to avoid using treadmill after tkr to improve longetivity of knee implant. Physiotherapy like ultrasound and tens will help, along with knee exercises if some pain persist.
