Can I Wean Off My BP Medicines Inspite Of Having Low BP?
i had a heart attack dec 9 2013. they later put in a stent. dec 19th. now i feel like i have too much blood pressure medicine and want to get of carvedilol 2x a day to 1x a day. yesterday my blood pressure was 88/65. the other blood pressure med is enalapril.
It is not a good idea to discontinue Carvedilol. Also you can't take it once daily, it acts 12 hours, if you take it once daily, you will have effect of medication for half day, which is very undesirable. It is better to decrease the Enalapril dose or withdraw it in case of low blood pressure.
Hope I could help you
Wishing you good health
