Can Increase In Dosage Of Bupropion XL To 300 Mg Be Helpful In Treating Anxiety And Substance Abuse?
My son 24 yrs old just visited a new physician. He has never taken any prescriptions for ADHD in the past and the new Dr. ordered Methylpenidate. My son has a history of anxiety and substance abuse. I am an RN I don't feel that Methylphenidate is a wise choice. He is currently taking 150mg Bupropion XL for depression After reading info on this website it seems that an increase in dosage to 300mg daily might be helpful?

You physician made a good choice. Stimulant drugs work good in ADHD. Discuss other options with him and let him decide what is best for your son.
