Can Increased Amount Of Uric Acid Cause Rib Pain And Sore Throat?
I went to bed fine and woke up with rib pain (lower right) and I have been suffering for days. Can too much uric acid give rib pain? My serum uric acid used to be fine. But lately I had too much liver (chicken, calf, duck), marrow bone soup and dairy products. In general, I hardly eat this stuff. I blame my rib pain on imbalanced food energetics, soft tissue inflammation etc. but today I thought of uric acid. I also had minor sore throat, swollen/bleeding gum around cracked teeth... very briefly. Too much hot/warm food??? Mum/mulberry tea, bitter melon and barley soup don't seem enough to cool me down. What cooling foods would you suggest? Thank you.
Forget about uric acid, even the amount of high protein which you have consumed will cause the pain which you have described. You need to start on bland non spicy and non oily food with lots of vegetables and add an anti reflux medication like pantoprazole in consultation with your doctor as soon as possible. In any case you need to take an ENT consult if the problem persists or worsens Stick to milk and bland diet
