Can Ingestion Of Soap Cause Sickness?

I had just washed a pot to cook some pasta in and I guess I didn’t wash the pot out good enough because when I drained the pasta I tried a piece to see if it was done and it kind of tasted weird but my question is can a little soap make you sick or anything?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Usually swallowing a little soap doesn't cause any serious problems. However, you may experience some gastrointestinal symptoms such as abdominal pain, vomiting,or diarhea.
You can drink some water or milk, it helps.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
