Can Inhalation Or Ingestion Of Sanding Plastic Coated Blades Cause Fatigue,sweating And Shaking?

Sanding plastic coated blades and may have inhaled or injested some. These blades come from an iron ore mine and used for water valves. Felt weak as,sweating and so tired.I was shaking in bed and slept for 12 hrs. I did feel sick but wasnt.symptoms seem to have gone down a lot and i do feel better. Any ideas or suggestions as what could have happend please. Thanks. Adam

Inhalation or ingestion is sodium hypochloride or bleech poisoning.Symptoms amounts of inhalation or ingetion.Give the patient water and milk. Endoscopy required to asses gut injury or errosion.Stomach wash is recommended. Oxygen inhalation is required. For skin and eye injury fresh water wash is recommended. Redeye, cough, stomach pain, vomiting, chestpain, low BP, bradichardia may lead to shock. Hospitalisaton is required for managment.

1. Contact with a chemical occurs in three ways:
. ingestion exposure: present
. inhalation exposure: present
. dermal exposure or ocular exposure: absent from history, thus the ability of a chemical to be released from a substance (plastic coated blades) is an important factor in determining how much exposure actually occurs. Other factors that can influence a person's risk for adverse health effects from environmental chemicals include age, gender, general health, genetic differences, and lifestyle choices.

2. Studies conducted by the California Environmental Protection Agency Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment and the Norwegian Institute of Public Health to assess the potential for ingestion exposure to the chemicals in plastic coated blades have concluded that health risks resulting from the ingestion are low.
