Can Injections For Diabetes Be Replaced By Tablets?

sir, my father age 64 is detected with type 2 diabetes and TB his fasting sugar is 140 whereas post lunch it is 230-250. diabetologist has prescribed INJECTION LANTUS & APIDRA thrice a day. it is very painfull process can we replace the injection with tablets ?

Hello,

You can switch to oral tablets like metformin. Diet control is also needed. If blood sugar is maintained, oral pills will be enough. Insulin has to be started in case of uncontrolled diabetes.
