Can Intake Of Adderall Cause Pimples On Face?

About 10 months ago I had a clear face, I had a bit of a stressful situation and then received a few pimples on my face. About a week later I was prescribed adderall. I have not been able to get my face fully clear since. maybe only a bump for a couple days but mostly terrible acne since then. I am healthy I drink lots of water and eat balanced meals and veer from sugars. should I quit taking adderall ?

Hi dear ,

The symptoms you mention in query occuring due to two reasons .

First pimples are caused by drug adderall as its one of the side effects .

Secondly the condition is exaggerated by the stress , which trigger excess oil formation that further leads to formation of pimples .

I would suggest you to :-

Try to reduce your stress .

Wash your face with face wash containing salicylic acid .

Exfoliate your skin twice a week .

Apply raw honey at night and wash it in the morning.

Apply azelaic acid cream after washing face twice a day .

Consult your doctor and discus about your condition caused by side effect of the medicine . Doctor may alter the dose or prescribe substitute .
