Can Intake Of Veloxin Help In Reducing Immune Count Of 270?
Hello Doctor, Sir, i am Sury 40 Years i have been suffering from alopecia areata from last 10 months.Doctor has given me following mediines.in my ige test immune count is 270 doctor advised me to take weekly twice saturdat and sunday Betnesol Forte (1 Mg) morning 2 tablets and night 2 tablets and every 10 days taking steroid injection. but my immune did not reducing from 270 count. Veloxin.. i will it solve my problem ? -Sury Hyderabad

Your high level of IgE just means that you are highly allergic to a specific allergen or to be precise, your alopecia is due to an allergy and that is why you have been prescribed steroid to combat allergy.
Veloxin, which is a broad spectrum antibiotic, is not going to lower your high IgE count.
Omalizumab which is an anti immunoglobin will be able to reduce your IgE levels.
Please talk to your doctor regarding your concern as Omalizumab is a prescription drug.
