Can Intake Of Metropol Blood Pressure Medicine Cause Sore Calves And Feet?
I am 71 years old and my calves and feet get extremely sore . It does not appear to be due to use . I can do leg exercises every day and it can make the soreness go away. I am taking metropol blood pressure medicine and I am thinking that is causing the problem. It is like the tendons in calf draw and by stretching I can get it to go away. When At its worst it is difficult to stand . but soon after walking it seems to go away. Can the medicine be causing that thanks
Hi, Your resting calf pain can not be attributed to Metoprolol. There could be some other cause like anemia, high blood pressure or even vitamin and mineral defeciencies that is causing your symptoms. I suggest you to visit your physician once and get yourself checked for those things. meanwhile, you can try calcium, vitamin E and levocarnitine, which are available as OTC drugs. hope this helped.
