Hi,

Ofloxin contains ofloxacin belongs to the group of antibiotic medications known as quinolone which is used to treat a variety of infections. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. Changes in taste can result from many things, like aging or a loss of smell due to a sinus infection, but sometimes medications can affect your taste too. It can be altered taste like experiencing usually sweet foods as salty or losing some of your ability to taste all together. In terms of medications, quinolone antibiotics like Ofloxacin is the common cause of taste disturbances. If your Ofloxin is causing your taste to change, switching to a different one might help.

Ceftisa contains cefuroxime which belongs to the group of medications known as cephalosporins can cause taste disturbances. Sometimes, a person may find foods taste metallic when they are taking cephalosporins like cefuroxime. One possible reason is the medication can affect how well the body absorbs the mineral zinc. A zinc deficiency can cause a bad or metallic taste in the mouth.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
