my granmother 78 year old is on alot of medication for mental health problems

my query to you is do you think this is a lot and of high dosage for a woman of her age to be on all of these for over 6 years? should we talk about weening her off some and how? and do you think all of the above are truely helping my grandmother battle depression which only seems to be getting worse and has a number of side effects

The number of medications is too high. I believe in fewer drugs as possible as drugs are potential poisons.
Some of the medications have almost similar function and weaning or change of medication is really necessary.
Every drug has a side effect. With so many drugs on the table, difficult to evaluate which drug is helping or which drug could be causing problems.
Do discuss with your neurologist. If this all for mental health problems, I still expect her to be one a few more. Take care.
