Can Ketoralac 10mg Cause Transient Colitis?

I was given ketoralac 10mg after knee surgery for meniscus tear. I took it for 1 day then ended up in the ER wih virulant vomitting and then was admitted to the hospital because of GI bleeding. This finally stopped after 3 1/2 days. Dx was transient colitis. was keoralac responsible?

Hi,

It's very unlikely for a single day of Ketorlac to cause such severe GI side effects but if you are allergic to the molecule, yes it can be hazardous. The symptoms could well be due to the Ketorlac only, its only advisable to avoid medication of that class again in future.
