Can Knee Pain, Locking After Squatting, Popping Knee Cap Mean Meniscus Tear?

Ever since i was 12 or 13 i have had knee pain with locking after squatting for more then 5 minutes, i have had popping knee caps when bending and straightening my legs or walking up stairs or hills. I have been told that i have no quadracep muscle built, even after doing physical therapy to strengthen it, along with my knee cap being to small for my age which at the time i was 24. I have been told also that i have a start of a meniscus tear.

Hi welcome to health care magic. After going through your query I think there is meniscus tear in knee. To diagnose you required mri of knee . If there is tear you need arthroscopic meniscectomy. Hope your query has been answered . Thanks.
