Can Lamictal Cause Memory Problem And Pain In Sinus Or Nasal Area
I have numbness on left side of head. Real noticeable behind ear and left eye. Also have memory problems. Had a mri with and without contrast. The neurologist wants me to take some kind of test for memory problems. Ive read that pinched nerves in spine or on face can case numbness but doesn t mention memory problems. Also have headaches and pain just only on left side. This started 10 years ago and getting worse. He gave me lamictal for the nerve pain but im not going to take it because it causes memory problems. I also feel pain on left side of nose area or sinuses.
Hello, Welcome to HCM and thanks for your query. If the MRI is normal, it is unlikely that there are major problems affecting memory. Pinched nerves do not affect memory. Memory can be impaired by decreased blood flow to certain vital areas, by Alzheimer's disease and depression to site some common causes. You may want to read more about a herb Ginkgobiloba which some studies have shown to improve memory. I shall be happy to answer if you have more queries. Take care
