Can Leaking Black Fleshy Discharge Be A Perimenopausal Symptom?

Hi Doctor Manjunath, I am a 43 year old/almost 44 black woman and for the last several months I have leaking purplish/black fleshy like discharge. It doesn t have an order and alos appears when like crumbs falling out of me when I urinate. In june it appeared after my menstral cycle and in july it appeared with my menstral cycle and it oftens lasts a week or two after the menstral cylce. I was wondering if I am experiencing pre-menopausal systems.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Purplish or black fleshy discharge during pre-menopasusal age needs to be investigated.
An endometrial curretting or endometrial biopsy is needed to know the status of endometrium.
Hyperplasia and cancerous growths are responsible for discharge and / or bleeding.
Examination of the endometrium will help to plan further treatment.

I suggest you to consult a gynecologist as soon as possible.

Thanks and take care
