Can Lemon Juice Be Used To Convert Black Hair Into Ash Brown Color?

Hi, I m a guy with naturally black hair. My question is wether it is possible for me to use the lemon juice in the sun technique to achieve an ash brown hair color. I already did this twice and the color barely lightened to a very very dark brown color instead of black. Any answers would be helpful

Hi,

Lemon juice and UV rays exposure to hair may help to lighten your hair color by relaxing hair cuticles. However, there is no guarantee that this is an effective technique and may not work especially in individuals with darker hair tones.

Moreover, the acid in lemon juice can degrade hair's lipid layer and ability to hold on to moisture leaving your hair dry and brittle. So make sure that you do not apply lemon juice to hair repeatedly or frequently.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
