Can Light Rashes On Penis After Having Unprotected Sex Be Herpes Outbreak?
Hello, I recently had gone to Tijuana Mexico and had close high risk encounter. We used a condom and some lubricant of some sort. The condom later broke although I didn t notice until it is too late. Now a couple of days later I was going to the Bathroom and took a look just in case and noticed what seemed to be a barely visible rash that isn t raised or burning, itchy, painful or anything. It has now been almost 2 weeks and it doesn t really seem to be getting worse . I did some research, could it be the beginning of a herpes outbreak or if the rash doesn t get much worse could it be something treatable like balanitis? Any feedback would be great thank you!!!!

for exact diagnosis of the lesion all sexually transmitted infections have to be ruled out. balinitis presents with itching and pain caused by multiple germs. like you have said its not getting any worse it is to be noted that most of the herpes infections are asymptomatic. as your physician i would recommend that you should get screening tests for sexually transmitted infections like VDRL for syphilis and PCR for genital herpes and KOH for fungal infections.or otherwise it could be simply dermatitis.
