Can Long Term Usage Of Rabeprazole Sodium Tablet Cause Sinusitis?

I have a problem of sinus and I am taking raneparazole sodium tablet 20mg once daily for the past one month.Is it possible that this medicine I m taking for my stomach disorder is causing this problem of cough development in my throat and also making my nose blocked. What medicine should I take along with my prescribed medicine rabeperazole for my symptom of gastric esophagus reflex to keep my sinus from not causing a problem. I have tried local medicine but it caused a side effect on me making my throat and tongue tasteless for two days.

Thanks for writing to HCM.
Rabeprazole is a drug which would decrease acid secretion in stomach by inhibiting the proton pump in the gastric mucosa.
Its common side effects are: Bad, unusual or unpleasant taste and change if taste.
It is not known to cause sinusitis.
Sinusitis is infection of sinuses due to improper drainage of mucous secretions and stagnation of it inside sinuses.
You need to get it examined by ENT Specialist and get treated accordingly.
