Hi,

Losartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker commonly prescribed to treat high blood pressure and other conditions. Its common side effects include low blood pressure, increased blood potassium and sometime dry cough. It is not known to cause high pulse rate which could be due to other causes for which you are advised to consult your doctor.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
