Hello, can low dose estrogen bcp (on for 1 yr)cause severe bilateral joint pain in fingers, knees, feet. Also daughter was on minocycline for 1 year and is dx with drug induced lupus like syndrome . Trying to see if related to minocycline or bcp. symptoms went afer for 21 days after dc minocycline but have now returned (maybe due to sunbathing). Any thoughts would be great.
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
Low dose estrogen has a protective influence on the bone deposition and joints. It is not likely to cause a bone pain. The steroids however can cause bone erosion causing the pain.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
