Can Low Sodium Levels Cause Fainting Or Could This Be A Stroke?
My father fell unconscious yesterday n was detected as low sodium level so less blood circulation. He is kept in icu...i am his daughter working abroad..my relatives say to me only these things...but i doubt whether it is a stroke...if so will he recover fully..or is there chance of damaging his body parts...or more serious conditions

Hi,yes low sodium levels cause seizures,drowsiness and unconciousness.
Treatment is sodium supplementation depending upon the blood level.
It is not serious condition and requires workup for etiology.Thanks
