Can Low Thyroid Cause Leg Cramps And Spasms In Hip And Lower Back?

I just had the worst leg cramp of my life and was writhing in pain for over 5 minutes. I started suddenly in the foot and calf then worked up the back and front of my thigh into the groin and spasmed into my hip and lower back. I live alone and the pain was so bad I was nauseous . I did some deep breathing exercises and tried to keep my leg straight and finally it eased up. Could this be caused by low thyroid or low b-12. I take medication for both. I haven't had my b-12 checked in a long time but my thyroid was ok as of 3 months ago.

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
I can understand your problem, this seems muscular problem could be spams, and not due to the thyroid, such pain can be treated with the drugs "Tab Acetaminophen and Ibuprofen" even drinking soda water can relieve the problem, hope this information helps you take care and have good day.
