Can Massive Heart Attack Cause Foaming From Mouth?

My mother passed away recently. She came out of shower, companied to chest pain. Had a tea and boiled egg, laid down citi restlessness and before doctor came passed away. Foam came out of mouth and kept coming out till next day when she was buried. Doctor said it was massive heart attack. What is foaming all about?

Yes Massive heart can cause foaming from the mouth. When a person suffers a massive heart attack, the pumping capacity of the heart is compromised and hence water part or the blood accumulates in the lung and comes out as froth. We call it medically acute pulmonary oedema. However frothing occurring after death is not related to heart or heart attack
