Can Medications Help To Improve Cardiac Ejection Fraction?
Hi, my husband is a 35 year old, previously fit man. He was diagnosed with CHF (idiopathic) a year ago. His EF has been as low as 11 and is now up between 16 -20. He was previously on the heart transplant list however is not considered to be unwell enough to have it as he is not symptomatic with breath etc. How likely is it that his heart will repair itself through the medication (which have been titrated up to the maximum doses for a 9 months now)?
CHF and 35 age is not something seen very regularly. I am sure the medicines you have been prescribed are doing their work as you already have some improvement. Still what medicines he has been receiving and what are the doses? Some more info would have definitely helped us in providing you some clue regarding this.
If the symptoms increase anytime, you can consult your physician
Hope to have informed you sufficiently.
