Can Medications Used To Treat Parkinson S Disease Cause Constipation?
Due to my Parkinsons, I have much difficulty making a bal movement. My doctor prescribed Polyethylene Glycol 3350. For the last couple of days I have not been able to make a bal movement. Today I did not have a bal movement, however a white cotton like substance come from me. Should I contact my doctor?
Parkinson disease itself can cause troublesome constipation. It seems that polyethylene glycol is not relieving your constipation. You need to see your doctor to change your prescription and see if you needed a manual evacuation of feces or not.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Sameen Bin Naeem, General & Family Physician
