Can Melacare Cause Any Problem To Growing Fetus?

hi, i hv jus started using melacare n m getting results too...n i think im gonna miss my next period..n i read dat using melacare will affect the fetus..n m going to stop using it..i want to make it sure dat right nw nothing harmed our baby..pls reply

Hi,

Melacare cream contains Hydroquinone, mometasone and tretinoin that is used in the treatment of melasma. This medication should be used in the doses and duration as directed by the prescribing doctor. Because, there are lack of sufficient studies in humans but animal studies have already shown dangerous detrimental effects on the growing baby. So it may be unsafe for using this medication during pregnancy. You can only use it during pregnancy if your doctor will prescribe it to you after considering its both beneficial effects and potential risks. So you should consult your doctor before start using this medication.
