The non-hormonal management of symptoms associated with menopause are detailed below:
-Relaxation, yoga, stress management -Gabapentin, which is an anti-seizure medication, relieve hot flashes in some women.
-Herbal remedies are not recommended.
The non-hormonal options for managing post-menopausal symptoms are very limited and their efficacy is questionable. But it is definitely worth trying them before going ahead to hormone replacement.
