Hi. I have been on the birth control pill for years and am wondering if menopause symptoms will still occur while I am taking it. I am 48 yrs old and I do get some night sweats. I still get my period each month but it seems to be changing. It is either very light (and then I have an absolutely awful one 2 weeks later with heavy bleeding and clotting) or it is pretty normal and lasts the regular amount of time. How do I know if these are menopausal symptoms and when should I go off the pill?
