Hi I'm a 42 yr old woman. I have several incidents where I have become unreasonable hot, profuse sweating and near passing out. My muscles will tighten up and my fingers and toes cramp and lock up. I've had tests done and they have all come back neg. and I was told these could be signs of menopause. Could that be true? I don't have other symptoms of it.
Definitely, these symptoms may be for approaching menopause. However, to me these symptoms appear more due to anxiety and / or depression. Hence, in my opinion, you should consult a psychiatrist about this, who may like you to treat with anti anxiety and / or anti- depressive medicines. However, if the symptoms do not improve with this, then opinion of a gynecologist may be sought for possible presence of menopausal symptoms.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
