Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain mild gingivitis that is inflammation of gums is not a causative factor for
sore throat and sore throat in your case can be due to either chronic
throat infection or
acid reflux..
I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a clinical examination along with investigations like Throat swab culture and pH level of throat can help in diagnosis and treatment can be advised accordingly..
In case of infection you can be advised a course of antibiotics and anti inflammatory painkiller like Advil along with warm saline gargles and steam inhalations..
Sucking throat lozenges can further soothe the throat..
In case of acid reflux medicines like
Pantoprazole or Omeprazole, Ranitidine and antacids like
Calcium carbonate and dietary modifications like taking small frequent meals, avoiding spicy food and drinking plenty of water can be advised..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
