Can Misalignment In The Lower Spine Mean Scoliosis?
Can the term scoliosis be applied to small misalignments in the lower spinal. If so, how is it distinguished From larger areas of curvature . And does term spondylolesthesis (?sp) have a specific meaning Thanks Donna YYYY@YYYY
Scoliosis normally involves large areas of curvature. It refers to curvature of the spine to the side with either of a c curvature or s curvature.
Spondylolisthesis does have a specific meaning. It refers to the forward movement of one of the vertebra . It slips forward over the vertebra below it.
I hope this helps
