Can Missed Contraceptive Pill Be Substituted With Other Brand Of Birth Control?
I start birth control today, but when I went to swallow the pill I accidentally chewed it and then spit it out. I know you have to take every single pill in the pack in order for it to work. My sister has extra packs of a birth control that isn t the same brand as mine. My question is, can I take one of her pills to make up for the pill that I spit out? If not, can you explain why I can t do that? Or explain to me what I do about this issue that just happened.
Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns. You did not mention the brand names. Most probably all of the oral contraceptive will contain estrogen and progesterone .There may be change in dosages.Just check for he components. If it is mild change you can take it.
If you missed on one day you can take double dose on next day.
That mean you have to take an extra tablet along with regular dose.
Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions. Thank you.
