Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I ve taken about 7 to 8 pregnancy tests, all of which have come back negative every time I ve taken one. My last day to have my period was the 27th of June through the 1st of this month, this is the first period ive missed. I don t have any symptoms nor feel pregnant. I m not sure if I need to be concerned or not? What would you recommend I do
Pregnancy test taken early sometimes can come negative in spite of being pregnant. It depends on how many days of missed period you have. Sometimes stress could also delay your period apart from hypothyroidism. There are other reasons for missed period as well.
If you have a missed period of thirty five days or more and having negative urine pregnancy test, you can visit a GP and get yourself checked. Physical examination will help discern whether you have chances of hypothyroidism or other reasons and get evaluated.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Jasmine Jagan, General & Family Physician
