Can Missing A Schedule Of Norifam Result In Pregnancy?
hi gd day...im using norifam..but I forgot to visit my doctor for my 3rd injection..supposedly my schudle is this aug.19 and I forgot the schedule..went to the clinic today aug.22 but the clinic is close in need to come back tomorrow aug 23..my question is it posible for me to get pregnant?
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Norifam is a injectable contraceptive that is effective for 1 month. It contains Norethisterone enanthate 50 mg and estradiol valerate 5 mg. Just like any contraceptive, it should be injected on the first day of your menstrual period (first day of bleeding). Further, you need to take these injections as scheduled in the subsequent cycles. In case there is delay in taking injections, it is advisable to use other modes of contraception like condoms & spermicides for the entire cycle, as there is a risk of getting pregnant. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
