Can Missing Femilon For 3 Days In A Month Cause Lighter Bleeding In The Periods, High Thyroid And Are There Chances Of Pregnancy?
Hello Doctor I am taking femilon from last one year. But last month i missed femilon for two to three days and this month i have not have my period properly means very less bleeding .... i tested my thyroid also and its littl high.. whats the reason behind that ? missing fmilon tablets? are there chancs of pregnancy?
Missing three tablets means that femilon will not provide protection in this cycle. Since the thyroid is also deranged we cannot be sure as to what is causing the light periods.
If bleeding has occurred then thyroid is most likely responsible. However I suggest that you get a urine pregnancy test done after 10-14 days from the first day of your period. If it is negative, most likely thyroid is responsible. Begin treatment for thyroid as soon as possible. Also for future remember if more than 2 pills are missed a backup method must be used in that cycle to prevent pregnancy. If 3 or more pills are missed we advise to stop the pack and start a new one using backup for the first 7 days.
