Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I currently work in my basement several hours a day and it has repeat flooding issues. I recently found a ton of mold and realized that I have had a persistent cough for several months now. Also a month ago I had slightly elevated liver enzymes on routine blood work. I am otherwise very healthy. Organic diet, exercise, limited alcohol use and non smoker. Could my elevated liver enzymes be related to mold exposure?
In my opinion, mold exposure is the cause for your cough, so take nebulisations to relieve. Consult a doctor personally. LFTs mildly deranged is suggestive of many conditions. Even your occasional alcohol consumption could be one.
