Can Monocytes Be High Due To Tooth Inflammation?

Hi, just had routine lab work up and see my monocytes are high normal of 10, Basofils 1, and Esinophils 1, I also just had a tooth infection the week prior and a tooth extraction as well. I was wondering if although high normal, could monocytes be higher due to the tooth inflammation....

Thanks for your question on HCM. In my opinion you should not worry much about raised monocyte. Monocytes are helpful in protecting body from infection and also helpful in healing. So whenever there is infection and healing (tooth extraction), monocytes tend to rise. So don't worry about this report.
