Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Can a 14 yr old boy get ms? He is having severe problems with the optic nerve in his left eye only. Finally after months, Vanderbilt in Nashville did a MRI today. He has just being sent from Optometrist to optomologist with no help other than a pair of glasses and one contact. His right eye is 20 20 vision. He is our special Grandson. My Father had ms and died at 51 yrs of age.
If you were my patient I would suggest you visit a neurologist and take the MRI . Multiple sclerosis can affect a young person ,and problems with one eye are a sighn of it.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Anila Skenderi
