Can My Medications Be Causing Night Terrors?

My son is 11 years old and he is having night terrors every night for about a week now. At least 5 a night. He is on the medicine Methylphenidate CD 20 mg in the am and he has also been diagnosed with a mild case of Tourettes. Can these medication be causing his night terrors? Do you have any suggestions on what we can do to help the terrors go away? Thank you
