Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had a tubal two years ago and then ended up on bc because of cysts. I decided to stop bc after my last cycle and opt for acupuncture instead of having to take pills. I guess my questions is more pertaining to pregnancy. I am 4 days late with on and off light brown spotting. I took a preg test a day before my flow was to show but it came up neg (it is possible my urine was serve rally diluted). Before I spend more money on a test I suspect would be neg, do you have any advice as to what this may be? Hormones? Cysts?
Yes, it can be. A false negative pregnancy test is when the test comes up negative, but you are pregnant. The most common reason for a false negative is that you took the test too early. Another possible reason for a false negative is there isn't enough hCG in your system. Pregnancy tests look for the pregnancy hormone hCG.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ajeet Singh, General & Family Physician
