Can Negative Elisa Result Due To Marijuana Smoking?

Hi I took a elisa test at five weeks and came out negative is this conclusive?? I also smoked marijuana everyday since exposure could that play a factor in false negative? I also was curious if hiv would be more detectable while possible symptoms are active...?

Thanks for the consult..
1. The test you mentioned is ELISA test which is the diagnostic test for hiv but not confirmative test
2. Marijuana that you are using will help in reducing weight loss and prevent appetite loss in HIV patients which are diagnosed already as hiv positive. Marijuana will not be used to prevent hiv or AIDS this is just used to relieve the above mentioned syptoms
3. If ELISA test is negative then you may be not infected with hiv. If you have a doubt that even then you have hiv then try to be done by PCR-polymerase chain reaction test for hiv which is the best test for confirming hiv
4. The possible symptoms of hiv that you are asking are loss of weight, fever, swelling of lymphnodes, diarrhoea etc...
