Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was seeing a neurosurgeon for neck pain, arm pain and shoulder pain due to an injury. I pulled a heavy suitcase off my bed. Originally, they felt it was nerve pain. Last week, I was told it was a complex case, because I now have muscle spasms in both hands, as well as weakness. He also doesn t think it is nerve pain causing the spasms. If it isn t, what else could it be? He is now going to bring the case to the next neurosurgeon meeting to discuss but is sending me to pain management until they meet again. This injury occurred over two years ago.
