Hi Doctor , i am santhakumar . i got twin baby boy with weight of 1.9 & 1.80 Kg . Pre-tern baby , born in below 33 weeks . Now mother feeding milk is not enough for baby s . What is the solution ? Can we give Cow milk for shortage ? Already we have feeded 2 times for one baby (cow milk ) when shortage time . but baby is normal . Pls. advice . 58 days over after baby born (Baby birth date 16/08/2016 )
As per your description, it looks that the weight of your babies are below normal as they are preterm. Ideally, the baby's weight is 2.5 kg or above.
Now the problem with twins baby and not having enough breast milk. cow's milk can be given with full pasteurised process.
Even infant baby milk formula are also available in market. High lactose content of buffalo milk cannot be digested by the infant. So not to give that. Otherwise, it's fine to serve as needed.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
