Can Nose Bleed Indicate An Underlying Medical Condition?

my daughter is 4 years old and she had her first nose bleed today. i had nise bleeds alot when i was a child but i have a heart condition. i think she might have just picked her nose but i am worried that it could be something else because it really poured for around 5 minutes or so. she has had a fever for a few days ranging between 99.6 and 102 and i didn't know if it was posible to be her adnoises.
